This 4–day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech is the perfect trip to explore the beauty of Morocco’s desert and imperial cities. You will start your journey in Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, and make your way to Merzouga, where you will ride camels for a sunset experience in the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will then spend the night in a desert camp, where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and experience the local culture. The next day, you will explore the gorges and kasbahs of the region, as well as the great canyons and breathtaking gorges that mix with wild nature. Finally, you will make your way to Marrakech, where you can explore the city’s vibrant markets and enjoy its unique culture. Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Departure from your accommodation in Fez at 8 in the morning for a private desert trip from Fez to Merzouga; our first stop will be in the city of Ifran the charming ski resort, and then continue to Azrou, where we will stop in the middle of the mountains and the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas to meet the wild Barbary apes Macaques. After continue driving to Midelt where we will stop to have lunch in a local restaurant, and then, head towards Merzouga desert through the high Atlas crossing the col of tizi n tlghoumt and the Ziz valley dotted with date palms, the biggest palm oasis in Morocco over 181 KM, after a stop for photos we will continue towards Errachidia and Erfoud the region of dates and fossils; arrival at the Erg Chebbi sand dunes , relax and enjoy a mint tea, tonight will be dedicated to appreciate the peace of the desert. Accommodation in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will go through the tracks used in the “Rally Paris-Dakar” to visit the berber nomads of the desert with whom we will have tea and discover the their life style, and visit some oasis where some movies were filmed as “Sahara”. We will visit the town of “Black people”, the village of the slaves originally from Sudan and Mali and enjoy a moment while listening to their spiritual music. Stop for lunch (Moroccan berber traditional food Madfouna), then come back to the hotel and then, start a new adventure on camels, the dromedaries will take us to the dunes to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. Very special night at the desert camp in the dunes in nomadic tents; Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen before. Dinner and accommodation in the unforgettable nomadic camp.

Day 3: Sahara Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Early wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel to the hotel where you will have breakfast and shower, then meet your driver to start a new explorative journey, departure to Rissani cradle of the Alawite dynasty and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory. Continue our journey to Todra canyons through the villages of Touroug, Tinjdad to reach Toudra Valley, free time to enjoy the great canyon of Todra and the palm oasis, the best place for rock climbers in Morocco, after we will stop for lunch in a local Kasbah, before continue driving towards the gorges of Dades, a picturesque valley of thousand Kasbahs, arrival at the gorges of Dades. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Early wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel to the hotel where you will have breakfast and shower, then meet your driver to start a new explorative journey, departure to Rissani cradle of the Alawite dynasty and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory.
