Days 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet – Ait ben Haddou – The Draa Valley – Zagora
For this Marrakech desert tour, early in the morning, departure from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains by the Tichka Pass, at 2260 meters, offers spectacular panoramic views of the mountains, the surrounding valleys, and Berber villages: their colors so special. After We take the old caravan route to Telouet (visit the Kasbah Glaoui) then the course of the beautiful valley of Ounila, in the foothills of the mountains, Arrival at ksar of Ait ben Haddou, Lunch on site , then stroll through the sloping streets and visit the most beautiful fortified village in the region, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Departure to Zagora by the Tizi-n-Tinififft pass (1660 m), the city of Agdz, panoramic view of the Draa valley, palm groves and ksour to the city of Zagora, dinner and overnight in a hotel or Riad.
Days 2: Zagora – Tamgroute – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga Dunes
After breakfast, visit the Jewish quarter of Amzerou and its palm grove, we continue our journey to the desert, on the road stop at Tamegroute for the visit of the Koranic library, the underground kasbah and pottery making. Then, continuation to Mhamid, last Village lunch on the spot and we continue by the track of Paris Dakar until the Dunes of Chegaga, this biggest Group of Dunes of the Region reaches a height of 300m on a length of 40km, Arrival at the bivouac, ride dromedary to attend the sunset on the dunes, dinner and traditional nomadic evening with music and songs, night under nomadic tent and the beautiful star
Day 3: The dunes of Chegaga — Ait ben Haddou.
After breakfast, departure for the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is a very old ksar with its Kasbah, a magnificent site classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will continue along the track between Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Drâa through Lake Iriqui, then by Foum Zguid and continuation by road via Taznakht the carpet capital of Morocco. Stop at the cooperative for explanations on the different kinds of carpets in the region. After a lunch break, we will take the road back to the kasbah. Then arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou — Talouate — Marrakech.
After breakfast, departure around 8 AM from Ait Ben Haddou, towards the kasbah of Telouate, a grandiose panoramic landscape, with its forests of holm oaks, and pines. several beautiful Berber villages clinging to the cliffs. We then cross the valley of Ounila, We then arrive in Telouate to visit the old kasbah Du Glaoui. Lunch on the spot then continuation towards Marrakech.
